Shared PVC Management
Shared PVC management refers to a PVC that is used for normal data traf-
fic between locations. The IQ Probe monitors this PVC for packets that
contain its IP address. When the IQ Probe detects a packet containing a
destination IP address that matches the IQ Probe IP address, the unit in-
tercepts the packet and processes its TCP/IP information. To support this
type of management, all traffic on the selected PVC must be RFC 1490 en-
capsulated, noncompressed IP traffic.
