dial-backup iq-handshake
Use the dial-backup iq-handshake command for dial-backup operation with ADTRAN IQ and Express
family products. Using the dial-backup iq-handshake command enables the association of incoming calls
with packet endpoints in cases where there is a single call-in number (hunt group) and no Caller ID
information available. Use the no form of this command to disable the IQ handshake.

By default, the dial-backup iq-handshake feature is disabled.

Functional Notes
The ADTRAN IQ and Express products implement a proprietary dial-backup mechanism to transfer
configuration information (such as DLCIs) when entering dial-backup. The
iq-handshake
command enables
this proprietary data transfer in the ADTRAN OS.
Usage Examples
The following example enables the proprietary data transfer (to an IQ or Express product) on the dial-backup
interface:
