Physical Layer Options (PHYS LYR OPTS)
Interface Type (INTERFACE)
Select the connector type for the
DTE interface. The choices are
EIA-232
and
V.35
.
Bit Rate
Set the operating speed of the
DTE interface to match the connected
device.
Data Bits
Set the byte length to match the connected asynchronous device.
The choices are
7
and
8
.
Parity
Select even, odd, or no parity information. Set to match the
connected asynchronous device.
Stop Bits
Select one or two stop bits. Set to match the connected
asynchronous device.
Hardware Flow Control
When set to
O
N
the Express 5210 disables CTS, temporarily
stopping the data being transmitted from the DTE device to the
Express 5210.
The bit rate selections vary depending on the speed selections made for the
Network
port. Also, for rates higher than 56/64 kbps, the External DCE
card is required.
