Configuration
First, configure your dedicated maps normally. Refer to Chapter 8 for more
information on configuring Dedicated Maps. One thing to remember is that
the endpoint receiving the backup data (i.e., the Nx endpoint) needs to be in
the
From
column.
All dedicated circuit dial backup configuration is the
Dial Plan/User Term
menu. For
Slot/Svc
, select
Circuit Backup
. When you select
Port/PEP
, you
should get a list of all endpoints that are available for backup configuration.
For information on configuring In#Accept and Out#Reject lists, see Chapter
10.
Under
Dial Plan/User Term/Interface Config
(see Figure 9-2), several op-
tions are applicable only for Originating endpoints, and will not display for
Answer endpoints.
