Definesthenumberofsecondstheterminal sessionmustremainidlebefore
the session times out. You can enter zero to deactivate this option (the ses-
sion will never time out).
MAX TELNET
SESSIONS
Write security: 3; Read security: 5
Defines the maximum number of Telnet sessions that can be active at the
same time. Enter a number between 0 and 100 in this field.
ETHERNET PORT
Write security: 2; Read security: 5
Provides a way to configure various settings for the Ethernet port. The fol-
lowing options are available for review and editing:

Defines the name of the Ethernet port. You can leave this field blank.
IP A
DDRESS
Lists the address assigned to the base Ethernet port. This address is com-
posed of four decimal numbers, each in the range of 0to 255, separated by
periods.This value is set to0.0.0.0 bydefault. The IP address is used for the
Ethernetinterface.ObtainthecorrectIPaddress from your LANadministra-
tor.

Defines or changes the default gateway. Enter the default gateway address
by entering a decimal number into the appropriate field and then pressing
Enter
to move to the next field. You will need a default gateway if the LAN
containsmultiplesegments.Thisaddressiscomposedoffourdecimalnum-
bers, each in the rangeof 0 to 255, separated by periods. This value is set to
0.0.0.0 by default. Contact your LAN administrator for the appropriate ad-
dress.

This address is composedof fourdecimal numbers, each inthe range of0 to
255, separated by periods. This value is set to0.0.0.0 by default. Thispart of
the destination IP address is used along with the ATLAS 550 IP address to
determine which nodes must be reached through the default IP gateway.

Displays the system Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) address. This
field is read-only.
If you enter zeroin thisfield, youwill notbe ableto useTelnet. Only
enter zero if you want to completely lock outTelnet access.
