TheExpress 6100/6120 uses thePPP profileto specifytheprofileused
when connected using PPP. Figure 3-9 shows the PPP profile menu.

The authentication menu contains therequired parameters for the au-
thentication of the PPP peer and for being authenticated by the PPP
peer. Authentication is applied between the Express 6100/6120 and
the PPP peer as follows:

This parameter specifies how theExpress 6100/6120 is to be authenti-
catedbythe PPPpeer. There are four possible selections. See Security/
PPPonpage3-27for anexplanationofthethree PPPstandardauthen-
tication types.
None (def) Theconnectionwill notallowthePPPpeerto
authenticate it.
PAP, CHAP or
EAP
The connection can be authenticated using
PAP, CHAP or EAP.
