The Express6100/6120transfersdata up to 144 kbpsovera two-wire

facility. This type of service is a permanent connection between end-

pointsorbetweentheunitandtheFrameRelaycloud.Itis sometimes

referred to as a leased connection, a dedicated connection, a “nailed-

up” connection, or a private circuit. Leased connection or leased line

is used in this manual to represent these types of services.

Configuration

The Express 6100/6120 is configured using a menu-based interface.

This interface can be accessed via the maintenance port using any

asynchronous VT 100 terminalor personalcomputer running a termi-

nalemulationprogram,orviaIP usingaTelnet clientprogram orweb

browser. To use the Telnet interface or web browser, the Express

6100/6120 must first have an IP address programmed into it via the

maintenance port. The factory default is 10.0.0.1.
